Making AI symbiotic with humanity

We envision a future where humans and artificial intelligence live and work together.

Unlike human intelligence, which is constrained by the biological bottleneck of reproduction, artificial intelligence has a path toward abundance. But abundant intelligence is not enough. To integrate seamlessly into society - whether embodied in robots or operating the computers around us - AI systems must be able to see, listen, speak, and interact as naturally as humans do.

This becomes especially important in education, healthcare, public safety, law, and government. If AI systems are going to serve people in roles built around human interaction, they must be able to converse with us, understand us, and respond with the fluidity, awareness, and judgment those roles demand.

Achieving this requires a new frontier of interactive intelligence: systems that do not replace increasingly capable foundation models, but provide the interaction layer through which those models can participate in the human world.

This is what we are building.

Talking Computers is an AI research lab in stealth, building multimodal interaction models for voice agents. Our early models sit at the Pareto frontier of intelligence and interactivity, measured by time to first audio token, and enable voice agents that are both highly capable and genuinely human-like.
